SYLVIA CHORUWA is a distinguished businesswoman and the Director of Isheanopa Group of Companies, a thriving enterprise she founded in 2009. Born in 1977 in the Chikomba District of Zimbabwe, Sylvia’s journey is one of resilience, vision, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Sylvia initially opened three shops in Zvishavane, specializing in clothing, hardware, and furniture. Her entrepreneurial vision led her to further innovate by opening the Dubai Mall in Mberengwa, a significant development that showcased her commitment to enhancing the shopping experience in the region.
Under her direction, Isheanopa has expanded its operations significantly, becoming a key player in the Zimbabwean market. The company is known for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, which has earned it a loyal client base and a solid reputation in the industry.
Sylvia’s contributions to the business sector have not gone unnoticed. She has received several prestigious awards that highlight her achievements and influence. In 2019 she was named the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Midlands Province Businesswoman of the Year, recognizing her leadership and impact on the local economy.
While proving women power in business she became the runner-up for Businesswoman in the Small and Medium Enterprises category at the national level, showcasing her dedication to empowering small businesses in 2020.
Her work was honored with a certificate for being one of the Best Designers in Zimbabwe, a testament to her creativity and innovation in business in that same year of 2020.Her work even put an impact in the community of Zvishavane as she was a warded the Megafest National Businesswoman of the Year Award, further solidifying her status as a leading figure in the entrepreneurial landscape.
